Here are some practical driving test tips to help you pass first time, these vehicle safety checks are known as the show me or tell me questions.

At the start of the driving test you will need to show or describe safety checks on the car. Since 1st July 2008 a wider range of questions will be asked by the Driving Standards Agency.

 You will need to explain how to check the condition of brake lights, indicators, tyre pressure, tyre tread, brake system, headrests, rear fog lights, demisters (front/rear) headlights main/dipped beam and ABS warning lights.

You must be able to show where to check under bonnet fluid levels like engine oil, screenwash, coolant, brake fluid. You will be asked two questions from any of the above topics.
